Truly, you can book whenever you please. However I do recommend booking your maternity and newborn session during your second trimester to ensure availability.  Since I work a full-time job during the week, I am limited to weekend availability and therefore can only accept a few sessions each month. I welcome all inquiries, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and check my availability.

Newborn sessions are typically done within the first 21 days after the birth. Once your baby arrives you would contact me within the first 24-48 hours so that we can set up a weekend session date within that time period. If your baby has to spend some time in the NICU we will then schedule based off of their release and medical clearance. If you’re currently looking to book and your baby is already around the 21 day mark, not to worry, we can still go ahead with a wrapped session and get some beautiful images!

Absolutely! Family photos are highly encouraged and one of the most special keepsakes for you, your baby and your whole family. I typically start the session off with family photos so that you can relax during the remainder of our time together. And also so that siblings can ideally be taken home afterwards. I suggest this because newborn sessions are lengthy and siblings may get bored very quickly. 

Let’s be honest. Babies never come on their due date haha. When booking your session, a $100.00 non-refundable retainer is due in order to hold your spot. I will then tentatively place you in my calendar around your due date. Once baby does arrive, please contact me within 24-48 hours so that we can firm up a weekend session date from there. 

I will have a prep guide for you to read through and a questionnaire for you to fill out before your session so we are both on the same page of expectations. And really, you just need to bring your lovely selves and a diaper bag of necessities and I’ll take care of the rest. I will have all props, knits, outfits, and other goodies covered for your session!

I will have your proofing gallery to you within 24-48 hours after your session for you to make your order. Your finished portraits will be available for download between 2-6 weeks after payment. The turnaround time is dependant on how many sessions are before you and how many images you choose to have edited.

Milestone sessions are available for babies 3 to 12 months old. Some parents may choose to capture their babies milestones a 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of age; 4, 8, 12 months of age; or simply just 6 and 12 months of age.

Cake smash sessions are available as part of the milestone package, however due to allergy/dietary concerns the cake will not be provided/handled by myself. I can recommend a baker who can provide the “naked” style cake for your session, as I prefer to stay away from coloured icings that may stain and like to keep the focus where it’s important, your baby.

I am up to date on necessary vaccines. I do have a pet friendly (smoke-free) home, however my dogs are kept away from the studio space while clients are visiting. I also wash and or/spot clean materials and blankets used after each session. If I am sick I will reach out to you to reschedule your newborn session and encourage you to do the same. Just as with safety, I will not risk the health of any newborn baby.
